How to Enter – It’s Easy!

  • Sign up NOW to receive your Merchandising Kit, which includes stanchion posters, shelf talkers, corn balloons, and fire balloons.

  • Create a high-impact display featuring Florida-grown sweet corn by incorporating at least three complementary products and using official contest point-of-sale (POS) materials from SSCFF to maximize visibility and engagement.

  • Submit 3-5 clear photos showcasing your display, using good lighting and angles to highlight your creative elements.

  • The deadline to submit your display is May 31st, with winners announced on June 13th and prizes distributed in July.

Contest Rules

1. Your Sunshine Sweet Corn display must be in place for at least two (2) weeks during the contest period (March 20 to May 20, 2025). To verify this, you must submit two time-stamped photos: one taken on the day the display is first set up and another on the day it is taken down after at least two weeks.

2. Qualifying displays must include ALL of the following products:

  • Fresh Florida-grown sweet corn from a Sunshine Sweet Corn Farmers of Florida (SSCFF) shipper. 

Displays may not include sweet corn products from other states or growers outside of the Sunshine Sweet Corn Farmers of Florida. Please verify your shipper is a member of SSCFF.

3. Display point-of-sale (POS) materials must include 2025 special-themed POS material from Sunshine Sweet Corn Farmers of Florida (SSCFF). You may create your own display support materials as well. Creativity is encouraged!

4. Display entries are limited to one (1) per store and can be any size. It’s not about how large or small the display is; it’s about the creativity.

5. Display entries will be judged, and Sunshine Sweet Corn Farmers of Florida (SSCFF) Contest Committee will award prizes. Displays are judged on a point system based on the following criteria:

  • Use of fresh Florida-grown sweet corn from a SSCFF shipper

  • Use of SSSCFF-provided point-of-sale materials

  • Salability of the display

  • Creative elements

The committee’s decision is final.

Prizes 

  • Grand Prize: $2,500

  • 2nd Place: $1,000

  • 3rd Place: $500

  • Honorable Mention (10x): $100 each

6. All entries must be received digitally by Sunshine Sweet Corn Farmers of Florida (SSCFF) no later than May 30, 2025. Top winners will be notified the week of June 9, 2025, and all winners will be publicly announced and published the week of June 16, 2025, on our website: https://sunshinesweetcorn.com/.

7. Prizes will be awarded subject to your company’s policies regarding the distribution of such awards. Void where prohibited by company policy. Taxes are the sole responsibility of prize winners.

8. Prizes will be awarded to winning entrants by July 31, 2025, subject to verification by Sunshine Sweet Corn Farmers of Florida (SSCFF) of all completed entry documents and applicable information.

9. All entries must be submitted through https://www.cominginhotfromflorida.com/submit and include all required details on the official entry form. Each entry must include digital photo submissions, including the two required time-stamped photos verifying the display timeline.

10. Displays will be judged based on the submitted photos. Up to five (5) photos per entry will be accepted, including the two required time-stamped photos. We are looking for quality photography (THINK QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY). Be sure to use a good camera on its highest-quality photo setting to show off all your hard work.

11. Entries become the property of SSCFF. By entering, you give SSCFF permission to use your entry for publicity or advertising purposes. Contest available to US retailers only.

12. Prize money will be distributed by check from SSCFF to the person named on the entry form. (Check will be written from FFVA).

Your entry must include up to five (5) high-quality photo files, including two required time-stamped photos—one taken on the first day the display is set up and one on the last day after at least two weeks. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email verifying that your entry was received.
